shadow learned to project what

we know as stars, where the kings

of men lay on their backs to watch,

and meadows blew back in the breeze.

of sea did shadow want to know,

as it was entombed with her sisters.

shining light thought it no matter,

so shadow climbed into the water

to bring on sweet evening, eternally.
