I fell into your gaze
Like tripping among roots
As you filled my mind
Like villains in cahoots
You knocked me out of orbit
You block both sun and breeze
When you held my mind eclipsed
And enchanted me with ease
Original Poetry about anything and everything.
I fell into your gaze
Like tripping among roots
As you filled my mind
Like villains in cahoots
You knocked me out of orbit
You block both sun and breeze
When you held my mind eclipsed
And enchanted me with ease
Dark and twinkling
Only for a second
But in that moment
So radiant and bright
Somehow more brightly coloured
An elegant display
Than anything of the day
On the land or in the sky
Books say just a rock
Floating in the vastness
But I know better
You spoke to me that night
It’s everything I’ve sought
But haven’t given name
The song I remember
But can’t quite sing along
Come back to me
My shooting star
I need you now
To illuminate my life
You’re my flickering hope
Straining in the wind
When you come down to meet me
Don’t crumble coming in.
They say that space
Is simply nothing
The heavens
An expansive void
They must be wrong
For nothing that is nothing
Could make me feel so small
Surely the sky is full
When I see your eyes
Orbiting my gaze
I look into the heavens
And feel a void within.
If you’ll be the moon
I’ll be the tide
If you are orion
I’ll be your belt
Ebbing and flowing
With your motion
Coming and going
Like the cycle of seasons
